Allowing employers to deliver cost effective mental health support to all employees.

We believe Cope is the only platform facilitating truly anonymous contact between employees, and Mental Health First Aiders

How does it work?

Cope connects employees to a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) – and it’s simple to use! · MHFAs have a short profile on the app. · Service users select a profile and chat using whatever name they want. · No real name, phone numbers · Address books won’t recognise users. · Text dialogue takes place in a secure virtual space completely controlled by the initiator.

Unlimited, anonymous, chats!

Employees will get access details from their employer (can be as simple as a QR code on a site noticeboard!) · Those using the service (‘clients’) view short profiles of available Mental Health First Aiders, select one, and will be guided to send an opening message, using any name they want. · They can change the name as often as they want on future occasions. · The MHFA will get a notification, log-in, and reply, and a text dialogue begins. · MHFAs determine their own availability (the system shows when they’re available). · The employee is anonymous – even the MHFA only knows what the employee tells them (it’s a web app, so no phone numbers, nothing appears in the employee’s phone). · Simultaneous translation is available for text conversations if needed (modern web browser required). · The client can keep the conversation and pick it up later. If they delete it, it’s totally deleted (even if the phone is stolen, or hacked, the dialogue can’t be recovered). · No one sees the chat other than the MHFA and the client.

Completely anonymous chat

People experiencing mental health challenges may fear the stigma associated with it and be reluctant to reach out for help as a result. The complete anonymity offered by Cope allows them to access support win strict confidentiality.

Workplace mental health

On average, 16 people end their own lives in the UK every week. One in four will experience some kind of mental health challenge during the time they work for you. Mental health challenges in the workforce affect: Productivity Absenteeism and sick days Presenteeism Social interaction Team cohesion Morale Profitability Customer / client retention Employment disputes Employee ‘churn’ Symptoms may be progressive, getting worse if unaddressed Early identification of mental health issues saves lives!

Why Cope?

Trigger warning: this video has been described as ‘hard to watch’ for some people. It was produced with the active involvement of people who experience mental health challenges (including some who did not want to be identified).
